International Class

In an increasingly international and digitalized world, understanding one’s own and other nationalities and cultures is becoming ever more important. Our “International Class” is designed to inspire students to engage with the world around them and prepare for a future where national borders hold less significance.

Instruction is conducted 50% in English and 50% in Swedish, providing students with a strong foundation for further studies both nationally and internationally. The International Class is open to students with Swedish, English, or another language as their mother tongue. Students are expected to have well-developed English language skills to fully benefit from the program.

This unique approach fosters global awareness and linguistic competence, equipping students with the tools needed for a world that is increasingly interconnected.

Profile choices

At RWS, students are given a unique opportunity to choose a profile subject, providing them with challenges and opportunities within their specific area of interest. Time for the profile choice has been allocated within the framework of the school’s elective options, ensuring that the regular curriculum is not affected.

Physical education and health

The Sports Profile is designed for students who wish to train during school hours. The school offers organized training groups in various disciplines, including dance, tennis, handball, football, floorball, equestrian sports, ice hockey, and bandy. All training sessions are led by certified instructors affiliated with successful local sports clubs.

The Sports Profile also includes a theoretical component that covers: Motivation and goal Setting, nutrition and health, training science and anatomy, sportsmanship and mental Training.

This profile provides students with an excellent opportunity to advance their athletic skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the principles that support success in sports and life.

Practical/Aesthetic profile

The Practical/Aesthetic Profile provides students with the opportunity to develop both teamwork and independent skills as they cultivate their creativity. Students choose to specialize in one of the following subjects: art, music, or home and consumer studies.

This profile supports students in discovering their passions, refining their skills, and preparing for lifelong creative endeavors.

Mathematics & Programming profile

Our mathematics initiative allows us to offer a profile tailored to students with a strong aptitude and keen interest in mathematics. This profile challenges students to enhance their problem-solving abilities, abstract thinking, and reasoning skills.Laborative Mathematics is an integral part of our teaching approach, where modern technology is used as a tool to enhance learning and exploration. This includes deepening students’ understanding of concepts through programming and participating in initiatives like Mathivation, a program in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology and the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce.

These methods provide students with practical applications of mathematics, fostering engagement, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the subject.

Language Choices

The Language Profile is designed for students with a particular interest in English or Spanish who wish to deepen their knowledge of the language. This profile builds on the standard curriculum and focuses on enhancing students’ proficiency and academic achievement in the subject.

This profile provides motivated students with the tools to excel in their chosen language while fostering a love for communication and cultural discovery.

Book Club

For students who enjoy reading books and discussing them with peers and staff, this profile choice is the perfect fit. Together, we borrow and explore both contemporary books and timeless classics, creating engaging conversations and fostering a shared love for literature.
