RWS Uppsala is a well-regarded school for grades 6–9, where Raoul Wallenberg serves as a powerful role model for our values-based work. Raoul’s efforts in Budapest were defined by honesty, compassion, courage, and determination, providing thousands of vulnerable people with the strength to fight for their lives. His actions brought hope and resilience to those in dire need. Similarly, we see it as our mission to make a positive difference for every student at our school, regardless of their background, abilities, or ambitions.
We provide a calm and safe environment where every student is seen and receives the support they need. Our core values and guiding principles are present in everything we do, and we set high expectations for our students—both in terms of academic motivation and character development.
We strive to cultivate strong role models among both staff and students, creating an atmosphere of mutual inspiration and encouragement every day.

RWS Uppsala can be described as “The school in the heart of the city.” We are centrally located in Uppsala, on Kungsgatan 18, the city’s main street. With roots dating back to 1886, our building is a cultural heritage site, featuring spacious, bright classrooms with high ceilings.
We have a dedicated and professional teaching staff passionate about making a difference and serving as strong role models for our students. Additionally, we have a well-functioning student health team, including a special education teacher, counselor, school psychologist, and school nurse, who work purposefully on preventive and health-promoting initiatives for students’ well-being.
The school is at the forefront of IT and digital tools in education. Every student has their own computer, and a significant portion of the communication between students and teachers takes place through our learning platform Canvas and school platform Admentum.
